Four Miami-Dade police officers have been injured, possibly shot, today around 11 a.m. in a southwest Miami residential neighborhood, police spokesperson Lt. Frank O’Brien said.
Police have identified the suspect as Shawn LaBeet, possibly driving a white Honda Accord.
"We are not sure if he's armed," O'Brien said.
Kevin Wehner, 30, is no longer a suspect in the incident after LaBeet's girlfriend admitted to giving police Wehner's name and address throw investigators off track.
Police have set up a perimeter around the area of SW 280 St. and SW 143 Court to investigate further. The officers’ identity, condition and the cause of their injury is still unknown.
