South West Miami Dade -A suspect who was thought to have shot four officers has been the victim of mistaken identity.
According to earlier reports by police officials Kevin Wehner, 30, was the alleged shooter. However, Whener's uncle confirmed that he resides in Jacksonville and not in Miami.
Now the police are looking for Shawn LaBeet, a young black male.
Police officials say LaBeet is suspected of the shootings and was last seen driving a white Honda Accord.
The area has been cordoned off by police and possible witnesses are being interviewed.
