The manhunt for the man believed to have injured two police officers has taken a shift -- police were looking of the wrong suspect. Kevin Wehner, who police announced earlier as the alleged suspect, has been cleared by police.
Officials said they made a mistake. The girlfriend of the suspect they believed was Kevin Wehner gave them the wrong name. She confessed the real subject is Shawn LaBeet.
Wehner actually lives in Jacksonville, FL., miles away from the incident. His uncle, John Wehner, said that his nephew was not involved in the shooting.
"Kevin Wehner is my nephew. Kevin Wehner lives in Jacksonville, Florida. Kevin Wehner is not involved in a shooting," he said.
Police are looking for LaBeet, who is believed to be driving a white Honda Accord.
The incident happened just after 11 a.m. in the residential area of SW 280th Street and SW 143rd Court.
